Antiwar in Mainstream Media...Or Lack Thereof

The lack of antiwar voices in the media is due to the fact that it is widely believed that to reject the idea of war is to reject America. The concept of antiwar is widely rejected, which is likely why it is not shown on mainstream media. The majority of the country would likely disagree with it.

The government also does not want people questioning their decisions, especially ones having to do with war because it is important to have the large majority of the country's support to go to war.

I personally believe that people can have whatever opinions they want and feel free to share them. However, I have family and friends who have served in the military, and I do feel that being antiwar is disrespectful to those who have served our country to make sure that we were safe. In my personal opinion, the anti-war voices would have absolutely no platform or right to share their feelings and thoughts without the brave men and women who have fought for our country's freedoms.

In general, media can be so easily manipulated by people who have power. That's why it is always important to do your own research and double and triple-check your sources. If the government wants us to think a certain way, they have ways to ensure that we are persuaded. They normally, probably succeed too.
